Mobile Food Pantry
The Mobile Food Pantry allows us to reach poverty-stricken areas in remote, rural communities. The mobile pantry was launched in late 2010. Today, we serve an average of 3,562 individuals each month.
We work in partnership with local food pantries, churches and community centers to reach people in need. At least eight times each month, using the pantry on wheels, we distribute more than five tons of nutritious food, much of it perishable items like produce, meat and dairy products.
Food is typically distributed outdoors at a church or community center where dozens of volunteers help unload the truck and bag groceries for people in need.
